Croatia implements energy renovations in Zadar and Viškovo
Multiple energy renovation projects in Croatia are being completed or implemented through funding from the National Recovery and Resilience Plan, supported by the European Union's NextGenerationEU instrument.
In Zadar, a residential building renovation on Franka Lisice Street involves four entrances of a complex built in the late 1970s. The project, valued at over 2.5 million euros, includes approximately 1.49 million euros in non-refundable grants. The works aim to achieve energy class A, reducing heating energy needs by 85 percent and annual CO2 emissions by 114.11 tons.
In the Municipality of Viškovo, the renovation of the Marinići Community Center has concluded with a total value of approximately 796,598 euros. The project achieved energy class A and A+ ratings through facade, roof, and window improvements. Key additions include a photovoltaic power plant, a heat pump, high-efficiency lighting, and an electric vehicle charging station. This renovation is expected to reduce annual CO2 emissions by 91.17 percent and achieve 100 percent use of renewable energy sources.
