Croatia implements new pork regulations to combat African Swine Fever

In Croatia, new regulations regarding African Swine Fever (ASF) are impacting the organization of public events. In the Vukovar-Srijem County, organizers of manifestations where pork or pork products are displayed or consumed must obtain consent from local or regional self-government units if the area is within designated restriction zones.

Following approval, organizers are required to notify the State Inspectorate at least 14 days in advance. This notification must include details regarding the entities displaying or serving pork products, as well as information on the origin, producers, and suppliers. These measures aim to prevent the further spread of the disease.
