Croatia launches free summer park program in Pazin and Bookaj book festival in Zabok
In Pazin, the Centre for Culture and Education has opened the third edition of the "Summer in the Park" festival, offering 28 free programs over five weeks for all generations. Activities include live music, film screenings, workshops, a corn‑hole tournament, poetry readings and a family‑friendly outdoor cinema showing "Jumanji". The event is supported by the town of Pazin, the Croatian Audiovisual Centre and the Central Istria Tourist Board.
Meanwhile, the Regenerator Urban Culture Centre in Zabok is hosting the Bookaj festival from June 26‑28. The three‑day event features book and comic promotions, literary talks, film projections, children’s workshops, VR cinema and concerts. Featured guests include writers Dorta Jagić and Marko Gregur, journalist Hrvoje Ivančić and scientist Saša Ceci. Admission to all programmes is free and the festival is backed by the Ministry of Culture, the Krapina‑Zagorje County, the town of Zabok and the Kultura nova foundation.
