Croatia launches major school reconstruction projects in Dubrovnik and Pula

Major school reconstruction projects have commenced in Croatia. In Dubrovnik, the Luka Sorkočević Art School is undergoing a renovation of its tower, valued at approximately one million euros. The project, co-financed by the Dubrovnik-Neretva County and the Society of Friends of Dubrovnik Antiquities, will include a percussion classroom, a student canteen, and a summer stage on the terrace. Works are expected to last two years.

In Pula, reconstruction and expansion works have begun at Kaštanjer Elementary School. This project, valued at nearly 9.7 million euros and fully funded by the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NPOO), aims to add eight modern classrooms. The expansion is intended to eliminate the need for two-shift teaching at the school. Students have been temporarily relocated to the Pula Open University and the former Music Academy building, with completion expected by December 31, 2027.
