Croatia launches new professional support initiatives for entrepreneurs and teachers
In Croatia, new initiatives are fostering professional communities in the entrepreneurship and education sectors. The Udruga Poduzetna association has completed its first year of operation in Zadar, providing a platform for female entrepreneurs to connect, learn, and share experiences. The association organized thirteen educational workshops and five networking events covering topics ranging from finance and digital marketing to personal development and wellness. Additionally, the group has worked to bridge the gap between the business and academic worlds through collaborations with the University of Zadar.
In the education sector, the “Naša zbornica” program has been launched to connect primary and secondary school teachers across Croatia. This free initiative uses small online groups to allow educators to exchange experiences on modern challenges, such as the use of artificial intelligence in classrooms, student mental health, and parent relations. The program follows research from the Institute for Social Research in Zagreb, which indicates that while a high percentage of young teachers feel enthusiastic about their subjects, many feel a lack of societal appreciation for their profession.
