Croatia marks 20th Lifelong Learning Week with regional workshops

Various institutions across Croatia are participating in the 20th Lifelong Learning Week through diverse educational and creative activities.

In Slatina, the Slatina Public Open University and the Association of Persons with Disabilities Slatina organized a creative workshop titled ‘Create with Your Own Hands’. Led by mentor Tatjana Lulić Prpić, the event focused on creativity and social connection. Upcoming activities in the region include a workshop for the unemployed in Pitomača regarding HZZ voucher applications and a presentation on lifelong learning as a path to employment.

In Čakovec, the Čakovec Public Open University emphasized the importance of continuous skill acquisition, particularly through voucher-funded programs. The university hosted culinary workshops led by chef Melkior Bašić, focusing on practical gastronomy skills such as food processing and service. These sessions aimed to demonstrate how theoretical knowledge can be applied directly to professional culinary practice.
