Croatia marks World Mental Health Day with community initiatives

In observance of World Mental Health Day, various initiatives and professional gatherings are taking place across Croatia to promote mental well-being and interdisciplinary cooperation.

In Pula, the Institute of Public Health of Istria County is participating in the ‘Good Day, How Are You?’ campaign organized by the Croatian Psychological Chamber. On October 9, citizens can visit the Institute to complete a mental health questionnaire and receive feedback and advice from psychologists regarding their emotional state and quality of life.

In Virovitica, the Association of Psychologists of Virovitica-Podravina County and the Family Center PS organized a professional seminar titled ‘Bridges of Support 2026’. The event focused on fostering collaboration between the social, educational, and healthcare systems to protect the mental health of individuals, families, and the broader community. A significant portion of the discussion addressed the rising mental health challenges faced by children and youth, emphasizing the need for family-centered support.
