Croatia marks World Tourism Day with tech discussions and nature park events

In observance of World Tourism Day on September 27, various regional initiatives in Croatia highlighted the intersection of technology, community, and nature. In Radoboj, members of the Association of Tourism Journalists and Writers (FIJET Croatia) gathered to discuss the role of digital agendas and artificial intelligence in shaping the future of tourism. While emphasizing that technology aids automation and personalization, participants noted that the human factor remains essential for service quality.

Radoboj Mayor Anđelko Topolovec announced upcoming local projects, including a new gastronomic route with three facilities and a tourist-information center at the foot of Strahinjčica.

Simultaneously, in Zadar County, approximately 2,000 residents participated in an open doors day organized by the Zadar County Tourist Board. The event provided free guided access to protected areas, including Vransko Jezero Nature Park, Telašćica Nature Park, and the Cerovačke Caves. Officials stated the high turnout demonstrates the importance of connecting local communities with their natural heritage to foster sustainable tourism development.
