Haris Zahiragić warns of Serbian claims in Croatia amid resolution debate

In a podcast interview, Haris Zahiragić – member of the Sarajevo Canton Assembly and deputy president of the SDA – discussed the implications of a hypothetical resolution in the Croatian Parliament concerning the status of Serbs in Croatia. He suggested that if Croatia adopted a resolution on the position of Croats in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bosniaks and Serbs might likewise pass a resolution restoring the constitutive status of the Serbian people in Croatia. Zahiragić warned against "crossing the Rubicon," stating that Belgrade and Moscow have not abandoned claims on Adriatic territory from Zadar to Dubrovnik. He linked the discussion to broader regional tensions, the controversial use of the lilium flag, and the political dynamics between Bosniaks, Croats, and Serbs in Bosnia. The interview also touched on Zahiragić’s view of the SDA’s past and future strategies in upcoming elections.
