Croatia moves forward with school construction projects funded by national recovery plan

The city of Zadar has appointed an expert committee to carry out the public‑procurement process for the new regional school in Murvica‑Briševo. The project, valued at €10.17 million, will replace the primary school in Smiljevac, accommodate about 200 students from Murvica, Murvica Gornje, Briševo and Dračevac, and is financed by €8.8 million of non‑repayable funds from the National Recovery and Resilience Plan.

In Dubrovnik, the municipal administration has launched a public tender to equip the expanded premises of the Mokošica elementary school. The procurement, worth €650 thousand, covers furniture, classroom equipment, computer hardware and kitchen technology for the new 18 classrooms and associated facilities. The overall school construction and reconstruction project is funded with €10.09 million from the same national recovery plan.

Both initiatives aim to modernise educational infrastructure in Croatia’s coastal regions, creating modern learning environments and generating cost savings through reduced transport needs.
