Croatia pauses road works on Seget route and seeks repairs on Đurđevac‑Severovci road

Road works on the Ž6132 county road near Hotel Medena in Seget Donji, part of an EU agglomeration project, will be temporarily halted during the peak tourist season to keep traffic flowing. The project, carried out by Vodotehnika and Strabag, includes laying a new asphalt layer, installing drainage and completing a water‑sewage network, with full completion targeted for the end of the year.

Residents of Severovci near Đurđevac complain that heavy freight traffic from a new gravel pit is destroying the narrow local road, creating numerous potholes. They warned in advance that the road would deteriorate: “Teški teretni promet, odnosno gospodarska djelatnost eksploatacije šljunka, uništava javnu cestu.” The county road authority acknowledges the damage and plans to redirect heavy vehicles and begin repairs this year, with final works likely to finish next year. Local voices added, “Znali smo što će se dogoditi s početkom rada šljunčare.”
