Croatia road reconstruction on D6 and D36 progresses
Infrastructure reconstruction projects on state roads D6 and D36 in Croatia are progressing according to schedule. Karlovac County Prefect Martina Furdek-Hajdin and Deputy Vesna Hajsan-Dolinar recently inspected the sites to monitor progress.
On the D36 section from Blatnica Pokupska to the Kupa canal bridge, contractor Pedom Asfalti d.o.o. is constructing a 6.2-kilometer stretch. The road is being raised to a higher elevation to protect the area from flooding, and 1.7 kilometers of sidewalk will be built.
On the D6 section, contractor CGP d.d. is working on the first phase of an 18-kilometer reconstruction project, which includes the installation of new sidewalks. The total value of the works for both sections exceeds 13 million euros. Local officials noted that these projects have been awaited for decades and expressed hope for completion by next year.
