Croatia Joins 22 EU Nations Urging Action on Spanish Ceuta Migrant Crisis

Croatia is one of 22 European Union member states that have sent a joint letter to EU leaders calling for an emergency video conference of interior ministers to address the recent surge of migrants in the Spanish enclave of Ceuta. About 60,000 migrants attempted to cross from Morocco into Ceuta, with most being returned within days. Interior Minister Davor Božinović said the EU is treating the situation as a European problem, not solely Spain’s, and highlighted Croatia’s long‑standing support for a coordinated EU response.
