Indirect Taxation Administration issues VAT refunds in Bosnia and Herzegovina

The Indirect Taxation Administration (UIO) has issued 533 decisions regarding VAT refunds for first-time real estate purchases between September 16 and October 23. The total approved refund amount stands at 8,665,800 KM.

Regional distribution of the decisions includes 153 in Tuzla, 145 in Sarajevo, 144 in Banja Luka, and 91 in Mostar. Of the total decisions, 413 have been delivered to citizens and payments have been processed, while 120 are currently in the process of being delivered via mail.

The UIO noted that the speed of payment depends on the method of receiving the decision. Citizens who collect their decisions in person at a regional center can expect funds to be credited as early as the following day. For those receiving decisions by mail, payments are processed once the UIO receives the legal proof of delivery.
