Croatia to direct EU funds toward economic productivity

At the 4th Crane Forum, Croatia’s Minister of Regional Development and EU Funds, Nataša Mikuš Žigman, stated that future European Union budget allocations will focus on increasing productivity and strengthening economic competitiveness. This strategy aims to boost the nation's export potential and sustain GDP growth.

Marko Primorac, Vice President of the European Investment Bank (EIB), emphasized the bank's role in supporting companies that are founded, financed, and anchored in Croatia with the goal of becoming global leaders.

Davorin Štetner, President of the Crane Association, highlighted the business community's need for predictable and consistent tax policies, noting that frequent regulatory changes can deter foreign investors. Key discussion topics at the forum included the EU's post-2027 financial framework, tax systems, local government's role in attracting strategic investment, and healthcare spending.
