Croatia to experience significant temperature drop and precipitation
A blocking weather pattern involving anticyclones over Central and Northern Europe and Siberia is expected to redirect Atlantic disturbances toward the North Sea. This setup is likely to trigger the development of a strong cyclone over the Aegean and Black Seas, moving from east to west toward Sicily and southern Italy.
This cyclonic vortex will pull cold air into Croatia, bringing a drop in temperatures, increased cloud cover, heavy precipitation, and strong bura winds. While current conditions remain variable with high pressure, a shift is expected starting Monday.
From Monday to Wednesday, weather is forecast to be cloudy and rainy with colder temperatures. In mountainous regions above 1,000 meters, rain is expected to turn into sleet and snow. By Thursday, foggy mornings and morning frost are anticipated.
