Croatia to hold joint military and police exercises in Split

The Croatian Armed Forces and the Ministry of the Interior will conduct joint exercises in the Split area and its maritime waters from November 5 to November 11, 2026. The training aims to strengthen inter-agency cooperation, specifically focusing on responding to maritime crisis situations.

During the exercise period, citizens may observe an increased presence of military and police vehicles, vessels, and aircraft. A final exercise is scheduled for November 11, between 9:00 and 12:00, at the Split ferry port and surrounding waters. This final phase is expected to involve the use of maneuvering ammunition on a Jadrolinija ferry.

Authorities have stated that these are planned training activities and do not pose a cause for concern. The exercises are not intended to disrupt regular maritime traffic or daily activities on land and sea. Officials have requested that boat operators and maritime traffic participants follow the instructions of official personnel on site.
