Croatia to launch electric vehicle subsidy tender in November

The Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency Fund (FZOEU) has announced plans to launch a new public tender for the co-financing of zero-emission vehicles in November.

The initiative is part of a broader national strategy to promote a green transition. Out of a total annual financial framework of approximately 58 million euros, 38 million euros is allocated to renewable energy sources, such as photovoltaic power plants, while roughly 20 million euros is dedicated specifically to subsidizing electric vehicles.

The subsidies will apply to vehicles in categories L1 to L7, including mopeds, motorcycles, tricycles, quadricycles, and personal vehicles powered by electricity or hydrogen. Notably, plug-in hybrid vehicles will not be eligible for subsidies this year.
