Croatia tourism sees growth with 12.4 million arrivals through July

Croatia's tourism sector has reported strong performance for the first seven months of the year, with the month of July marking its best results in two years. According to eVisitor system data, the country recorded 12.4 million arrivals and 59.1 million overnight stays from January to the end of July, representing a 1 percent increase compared to the same period last year.

Breakdown of the data shows that 56.1 million overnight stays occurred along the Adriatic coast, a 0.5 percent increase, while more than 3 million stays were recorded on the mainland, including Zagreb. In July alone, arrivals rose by 2.5 percent and overnight stays increased by 1 percent compared to the previous July.

Key source markets include Germany, Slovenia, Croatia, Poland, the Czech Republic, Austria, and Hungary. Regionally, the most popular destinations were Istria, Split-Dalmatia, and the Kvarner region, with specific high-traffic locations including Rovinj, Vir, Poreč, Medulin, and Dubrovnik. Financial indicators also showed growth, with the value of fiscalized invoices rising by 18 percent in July.
