Croatia transfers land worth €20.4 million to Bakar for industrial expansion

The Croatian government has decided to donate 38 state-owned properties to the City of Bakar to facilitate the expansion of the Kukuljanovo Industrial Zone. The donated land covers more than 280,000 square meters and has an estimated market value of €20.4 million.

The expansion aims to attract investors in high-tech sectors and advanced industries. Currently, the Kukuljanovo zone spans nearly 5 million square meters and employs approximately 6,100 workers. The project intends to increase this workforce to 10,000, potentially creating nearly 4,000 new jobs.

To prepare the new land for industrial use, the City of Bakar has committed to investing €26.6 million in transport, energy, and communal infrastructure over the next five years, specifically between 2026 and 2028.
