University of Zadar and Marko Marulić College begin new academic year

Higher education institutions in Croatia have commenced the 2026/2027 academic year with various ceremonies and institutional declarations.

The University of Zadar welcomed a new generation of undergraduate and graduate students. Rector Josip Faričić and other university officials met with students to discuss academic traditions and the importance of human connection over digital communication. Additionally, the University of Zadar Senate issued a formal statement emphasizing that space and environment should be treated as a collective value and a long-term responsibility rather than merely a short-term economic resource.

In Knin, the Marko Marulić College marked the start of the academic year by welcoming students. Acting Dean Damir Mihanović highlighted the ongoing process of merging the college with the University of Split. Local officials, including the Mayor of Knin, attended the event and presented laptops to top-performing students as academic support.
