Croatian amateur theatre festivals draw audiences in Đurđevac and Poljica

At the inaugural Summer Amateur Theatre Festival in Đurđevac, the Cultural-Artistic Society Krapina presented a sketch titled “Dogovor je dogovor” and their award‑winning sketch “Agencija”. The group, which has accumulated 127 performances and 15 awards for direction, costume, text and preservation of cultural heritage, highlighted humor in the Kajkavian dialect before a local audience.

The following day, the Gospa Lurdska cultural association organized the seventh evening of songs, folklore and traditional customs in Poljica. Performers from several local cultural societies showcased traditional Croatian songs, dances and customs, celebrating regional heritage under the patronage of the Vrsi municipality and its tourism board.
