Croatian Armed Forces announce new military commanders

The Croatian Armed Forces have conducted several high-level command changes within its units.

Colonel Ivica Kordić has been officially introduced as the new commander of the Training and Doctrine Center for Logistics. The appointment was formalized during a ceremony at the 123rd Brigade barracks. Kordić, a veteran of the Homeland War with experience in NATO operations in Afghanistan and UN missions, succeeds in a role deemed vital for the logistics capabilities of the Support Command and the Armed Forces at large.

In a separate ceremony at the 7th Guards Brigade ‘Puma’ barracks in Varaždin, Major Goran Šarlija assumed command of the 2nd Armored-Mechanized Battalion ‘Puma’. He takes over the position from Colonel Krunoslav Slavinec. The transition, attended by senior land force officials, emphasizes the continued development of unit readiness and professional capabilities within the Guards Armored-Mechanized Brigade.
