Croatia's Ministry of Defence opens cadet recruitment for 2026/27

The Croatian Ministry of Defence announced public calls for admission to its cadet service for the 2026/27 academic year. A total of 116 cadet places are offered at the University of Defence and Security “Dr. Franjo Tuđman”, split into 70 slots for a Bachelor in Military Engineering, 40 for a Bachelor in Military Leadership and Management, and 6 for an integrated Bachelor‑Master programme in Naval Studies. An additional five places are available at the Faculty of Transport Sciences in Zagreb for a Bachelor in Aeronautics – military air‑traffic control.

Applications must be submitted by 14 August 2026, electronically through the Postani‑student portal and also in paper form to the Ministry’s address in Zagreb. Required documents include a cover letter with CV, address and phone number, a copy of the applicant’s ID, birth certificate, and a certificate confirming no criminal proceedings have been opened in the past six months. Successful candidates will be invited to a preparatory camp at the Croatian Military Academy “Dr. Franjo Tuđman” in September 2026.
