Croatian Army honors top recruits in basic military training competition

The Croatian Ministry of Defence held the final competition for the third generation of basic military training (TVO) at the 123rd Brigade barracks in Požega. The event allowed conscripts to demonstrate the skills and physical readiness acquired during their two-month training period.

Marin Delač, a 25-year-old from Perušić who trained in Slunju, was named the best male recruit. Lucija Boras, an 18-year-old from Metković who trained in Požega, was named the best female recruit. Both winners expressed their intention to join the Croatian Army as professional soldiers following the completion of their training.

The competition involved 12 male and four female recruits from training companies in Požega, Slunju, Knin, and Vinkovci. Participants were evaluated through a course consisting of 15 work points, as well as written exams and motor skill assessments. The event was organized by the Infantry and Armored Training Center of the Croatian Army Training and Doctrine Command.
