Three Young Men Rescue Drowning Woman at Torac Beach, Croatia
On Saturday afternoon around 3 p.m., three young men – a beach‑bar waiter, a jet‑ski rental employee and a member of the Croatian Navy – jumped into the sea at Torac Beach in Kaštel Gomilica after a passerby warned that an elderly woman was unable to stay afloat. Acting without hesitation, they pulled the woman from the water and brought her to safety. Witnesses said the woman, who had undergone several surgeries, became immobile and began to drown. The rescuers did not seek any recognition for their quick and courageous action.
The incident received local attention for highlighting ordinary citizens’ bravery and the importance of immediate response in preventing drownings.
