Croatian cities Solin and Gospić launch rental assistance programs

The cities of Solin and Gospić in Croatia have announced financial support programs to assist residents with rental costs.

In Gospić, the city has allocated 15,000 euros for 2026 to support young people and young families. The program offers monthly assistance of up to 200 euros for young families with children, while young individuals and families without children can receive up to 150 euros per month. Applicants must have resided in Gospić for at least six months and hold a valid rental agreement.

Solin has opened a public call for tenants, offering up to 2,160 euros in annual assistance, which equates to a maximum of 180 euros per month. Unlike the Gospić program, Solin’s aid is available to all citizens living as tenants who meet specific criteria, including not owning property. Notably, a formal written rental contract is not strictly required in Solin; residency status can be proven through witness statements or utility bills such as water and electricity.
