Croatia sees wave of new art exhibitions across towns and galleries

A spontaneous project in the village of Badljevina turned hay bales into the characters Mara and Jozo, quickly becoming a local photo attraction for passing motorists.

In Labin, visual artist Martina Miholić opened her exhibition “Relic for an Unknown Intelligence” at the former Church of St Stephen, showcasing works that explore the interplay of technology and perception.

A miniature‑doll exhibit titled “Jaseničanke – A di su ti ovce, baba?” opened in Zadar’s city‑guard building, reviving 1950s‑60s village life through hand‑stitched figures created by Bojana Vukojević and her family.
