Croatian diesel prices climb, raising costs for Czech drivers traveling to the Adriatic

Diesel fuel (nafta) in Croatia is now six Czech crowns per litre more expensive than a year ago, while gasoline is about one crown higher. In the Czech Republic, diesel remains cheap at roughly 35.25 CZK per litre, compared with the higher prices in neighbouring Italy, Austria and Slovenia. Toll charges on the route from the border to Split range from 750 to 1,000 CZK, and new speed‑limit radar networks are being expanded, with stricter limits for drivers under 24.

The price differences affect Czech motorists heading to the Adriatic Sea, who can still save by filling up at home before crossing into the higher‑priced markets. Other nearby countries show modest fuel price increases, but Poland remains an exception with lower costs.
