Croatian Donna Vekic wins Queen's Club as lucky loser

Croatian player Donna Vekic, ranked 79th in the world, captured the WTA 500 Queen's Club title in London after entering the main draw as a "lucky loser" – the first such victory on the tour in three years and only the sixth in WTA history. She defeated British No. 42 Emma Raducanu 6‑0, 7‑6 (8‑6) in the final.

The win marks Vekic's fifth career title and her first at the WTA 500 level. She gained entry after a qualified opponent withdrew, and she progressed through the tournament without dropping a set, highlighting her strong service game and break-point conversion. Raducanu, who has not won a title since her US Open triumph in 2021, entered the final despite a left‑thigh injury.
