Croatian farmers face destruction of livestock feed

Farmers in Croatia are facing targeted destruction of their livestock feed. Following an incident on October 5, 2026, where 18 large bales of green mass were burned at the OPG Miran Krnjak farm, further damage occurred on October 9 at the OPG Vranović farm in Gardinovac.

Mateja Vranović reported that five bales of green mass were pushed into a stream, making them difficult to retrieve and potentially unusable if punctured. This follows previous instances of vandalism at the same farm, including the burning of hay bales and the destruction of crops. The affected farmers emphasized that these acts threaten their livelihoods and the survival of their livestock during the winter months.
