Croatian football faces potential boost in European competition spots
New projections from the analytical platform Football Meets Data suggest significant shifts for Croatian football. Due to the potential removal of the 2022/23 season from national coefficient calculations, Croatia could rise to 17th place in the virtual rankings. If the nation reaches the 15th position, it could secure five club spots in European competitions: one in Champions League qualifiers, one in Europa League qualifiers, and three in the Conference League.
Regarding the domestic SuperSport HNL title race, statistical models place Dinamo Zagreb as the heavy favorite with an 80% probability of defending their title. Hajduk Split follows with an 8% chance, while Rijeka holds a 6% probability. These analytical findings align closely with betting market odds, which also view Dinamo as the dominant leader in the league.
