Croatian hiking clubs organize regional excursions

Members of the Croatian Mountaineering Society ‘Gojzerica’ from Požega recently completed an excursion to eastern Croatia. The group visited memorial sites in Vukovar, including the Memorial Center of the Homeland War and the Ovčara Memorial Home, to pay respects to war victims. The trip continued to Ilok, where participants hiked the Skandala peak through vineyards and toured historic wine cellars dating from the 15th and 18th centuries.

Separately, the Croatian Mountaineering Society ‘Sniježnica’ has announced a family-oriented hiking excursion scheduled for October 18, 2026. The event will follow the Velji do – Stražišće peak circular trail, designed to encourage nature conservation and family outdoor activities through guided hiking and games for children.
