Croatian junior athletes set relay record in Eugene
At the World Junior Athletics Championships in Eugene, Croatian female athletes achieved a new national junior record in the 4x100 meter relay. The team, consisting of Jana Bujan, Lara Jelić, Nina Vrdoljaki, and Nevia Fotak, clocked 45.87 seconds, improving the previous record by 0.12 seconds. Despite the record, the team finished 19th in the qualifications and did not advance to the final.
The Croatian men's 4x400 meter relay team, featuring Frane Delonga, Mihael Bartolinčić, Lovro Šoureki, and Dominik Jezernik, finished 16th in qualifications with a time of 3:10.52, just 0.48 seconds off the national junior record. In the race walking events, Linda Nujići finished 33rd in the women's 5000m, while Patrik Pivarski placed 32nd in the men's competition.
