Croatian kindergartens celebrate 10th and 30th anniversaries

Two Croatian kindergartens are celebrating major milestones. The Krijesnica Kindergarten in Mali Bukovec is marking its tenth anniversary. Since its founding in 2016, the institution has expanded to include a branch in Veliki Bukovec and has served approximately 350 children. Its current offerings include preschool programs, English language learning, folklore, and programs for gifted children.

To commemorate the decade, the kindergarten organized a multi-day program featuring lectures for parents, weather-themed storytelling for children, and professional development workshops for educators from surrounding regions.

Meanwhile, the Viškovo Kindergarten is celebrating 30 years of operation. Established in 1996, the institution has grown from three groups to 23 educational groups serving 340 children across its main facility and two regional sites. The kindergarten holds Eco-kindergarten and Safe-kindergarten statuses and has recently been recognized as an eTwinning school, a distinction held by only ten kindergartens in Croatia.
