Croatian Krapinsko‑Zagorska County honors top students and mentors

On 6 July 2026, Krapinsko‑Zagorska County in Croatia held a ceremony at the Antun Gustav Matoš Gymnasium in Zabok to recognize students and mentors who placed among the top three in state competitions. County mayor Željko Kolar and deputy mayor Jasna Petek presented awards to 57 medal‑winning pupils – 17 first‑place, 8 second‑place and 10 third‑place finishes – and their mentors. The county allocated €43,500 for the prizes, and each recipient also received two full‑day tickets to the Terme Jezerčica spa. Officials praised the achievements and urged the young people to continue pursuing their dreams.
