Croatian literary events celebrate authors Božena Loborec and Željka Cvetković

Several literary events have been organized in Croatia to celebrate local authors and heritage. In Koprivnica, the Mijo Kovačić Gallery hosted the presentation of ‘Ja vičem – u svoju ladicu: Izbor iz dnevničkih bilježnica Božene Loborec’. This collection, marking the 100th birthday of the prominent writer, features diary entries spanning from 1958 to 1994, providing a historical record of the social and cultural life of the Podravina region.

In Velika Gorica, the Matica hrvatska branch is hosting the 334th edition of ‘Matičin četvrtak’ to present the book ‘Kurija od kristalne misli’ by Željka Cvetković. The author is recognized for her work in both standard Croatian and the Turopolje Kajkavian dialect. The event includes a literary discussion and musical accompaniment.
