Croatian Marian Pilgrimages: Korčula Feast on July 25 and Sinj Grand Celebration Planned for August 2026

On July 25, 2024 the sanctuary of Our Lady of Čarsko Polje on the island of Korčula will host a three‑day celebration. The festivities begin at 10 a.m. with a mass led by Dubrovnik Bishop Roko Glasnović, followed by a procession with the Marian statue. Additional masses are scheduled for early morning in Čavića Luka, led by Domagoj Markić, and an evening mass at 7 p.m. conducted by parish priest Mario Tošić. The shrine, dating from the 14th century, traditionally blesses numerous boats arriving from nearby coves.

A larger Marian event is set for the town of Sinj, with a central celebration of the Blessed Virgin scheduled for August 14‑15, 2026 at the Sanctuary and Basilica of Our Lady of Sinj. The program includes multiple daily masses, processions, and public confessions, overseen by clergy such as Fr. Marko Pudar, Fr. Massimo Fusarelli, and Mons. Zdenko Križić. Additional observances extend through late August, featuring novenas, children's dedication ceremonies, and nightly vigils.
