Croatian midfielder Martin Baturina excels for Como and enjoys a Santorini getaway

Martin Baturina, the 23‑year‑old Croatian international, completed a strong debut season in Italy’s Serie A with Como, appearing in 29 league matches (17 starts). According to the English analysis site Squawka, he generated 3.6 chances per 90 minutes – the second‑best in the league – and showed an elite ability to retain the ball in tight spaces and break opponent presses. His performances have drawn interest from Tottenham Hotspur and Bayern Munich, though Como is unlikely to sell without a substantial offer. Baturina is also being dubbed the “new Modrić” for his style of play.

During the summer break, Baturina travelled to the Greek island of Santorini, where he posted photos with his longtime girlfriend, a student, on Instagram. He keeps his private life out of the spotlight, sharing only occasional images of relaxed moments on the vacation.
