Croatian municipalities Barban and Pregrada announce school supply subsidies and adult education director hiring

On 7 July 2026 the municipal mayor of Barban, Andi Kalčić, signed a decree to co‑fund the purchase of work notebooks and other school supplies for pupils of the primary school Jure Filipović Barban and other primary schools in the municipality for the 2026/27 school year. Eligible students receive a €40 voucher that can be used at listed retailers; applications must be submitted with required documentation by 30 September 2026.

The town council of Pregrada issued a public tender on 9 July 2026 to select and appoint a director of the Pučko otvoreno učilište Pregrada. Candidates must hold a university degree (or equivalent), have at least five years of relevant experience, know a foreign language, be proficient with computers, and meet integrity requirements. Applications, including a signed form, CV, copies of diplomas and a criminal‑record declaration, must be submitted within eight days to the address of the institution. The appointed director will serve a four‑year term, renewable.
