Croatian municipalities hold ceremonies to mark municipal days

Municipalities in Croatia held ceremonial sessions to mark their respective municipal days and honor local history.

In Podravske Sesvete, Mayor Marko Derežić emphasized the importance of continuity and community unity to create a sustainable environment for residents. He highlighted the use of European and national funds to support development, noting that the high co-financing requirements often place significant pressure on local budgets.

In Sukošan, officials marked both the Municipal Day and Defense Day. Ingrid Melada, President of the Zadar County Assembly, highlighted upcoming infrastructure projects, including a 6.3 million euro expansion of the Sukošan Primary School. The project will be supported by 5.4 million euros from the National Recovery and Resilience Plan. Mayor Andrija Vanjak focused on the importance of creating conditions that encourage young people to remain in the area and start families.
