Croatian municipalities launch cash awards for pupils and students

The municipality of Sveta Marija announced a public call for pupils and students from the area to apply for cash awards for outstanding results in education, sport, culture and other activities. Awards range from €100 for basic‑school pupils with excellent grades to up to €300 for university students meeting grade or activity criteria. Applications must be submitted by 17 August 2026.

The town of Mursko Središće opened a separate programme offering one‑off financial assistance. High‑school students in their first year of the 2026/27 school year residing in the town can receive €60, with applications due by 18 September 2026. Regular university students residing in the town can receive €100 for the 2025/26 academic year, with the deadline of 16 October 2026.
