Croatian Municipalities Sign Funding Agreements for Local Infrastructure Projects
The municipality of Otok in Split‑Dalmatia County signed a series of contracts with the county to finance a range of communal infrastructure works. Mayor Silvijo Norac‑Kljajo announced funding for the construction and equipment of a mortuary and cemetery, provision of mixed‑waste collection bins, reconstruction of unsealed roads, and upgrades to local markets and public spaces. He said, “Every investment in our municipality is an investment in a better future for our residents.”
In the neighboring Zagreb County, the municipality of Pisarovina signed a co‑financing agreement with the County Roads Administration to upgrade a section of local road LC 31213 near the Vladimir Nazor primary school. Mayor Mihovil Braimdana confirmed that the municipality will contribute €50,000, with the remainder funded by the county, to improve traffic conditions and pedestrian safety. The works are scheduled for the summer months and aim to be completed before the new school year.
