Croatian parliament speaker Jandroković says HDZ indifferent to Milanović's election plans

Parliamentary speaker Gordan Jandroković told reporters in Cavtat that HDZ does not care whether former president Zoran Milanović runs in the upcoming parliamentary elections, stating, “Nam je svejedno u HDZ‑u jer smo pobijedili i kada je bio on i kada nije bio.” He made the comment while touring a new primary‑school construction site and also reaffirmed the coalition’s cooperation with the Domovinski pokret (DP), referencing a recent resolution on the status of Croats in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

SDP leader Siniša Hajdaš Dončić disputed Jandroković’s remarks, claiming he heard that Jandroković is preparing for the elections and plans to “rušiti” (tear down) Prime Minister Andrej Plenković. “Čujem da se Jandroković sprema srušiti Plenkovića,” he said. Jandroković rejected these accusations as “nevažne spekulacije” (irrelevant speculation). The exchange highlights growing political tension ahead of Croatia’s election cycle.
