Croatian pension funds hold over €25 billion in assets, third‑pillar payouts near €35 million in H1
In June, the total assets of Croatia's mandatory pension funds (OMF) across categories A, B and C reached more than €28.7 billion. Category B was the largest, with assets above €25.4 billion, of which roughly 54 % was domestic and 45 % foreign. Category A held about €1.77 billion, with 55 % invested abroad, while category C held just over €1.5 billion. Category B also comprised over 73 % of all fund members.
Payouts from the voluntary third‑pillar pension funds (ODMF) in the first half of the year amounted to almost €34.9 million, including €5.4 million paid in June – an 8.7 % month‑on‑month rise. The largest single payer was AZ Benefit, which disbursed over €9.9 million, followed by Raiffeisen ODMF with about €9 million and AZ Profit with €8.1 million. Temporary and one‑off payments together accounted for more than €1.6 million in June, with the biggest temporary payment of €752 000 also coming from AZ Benefit.
