Croatian Pensioners' Party and Vojvodina Hungarian Alliance Plan Independent Election Runs

Lazar Grujić, president of Croatia's Pensioners' Party (Stranka umirovljenika), said the party will continue to work with whichever government is in power, whether HDZ, SDP or Možemo, while preparing for a possible parliamentary entry in the 2028 elections. The party seeks financial models to lift pensioners out of poverty, a tax exemption on pensions and an increase for 580,000 retirees slated for 2027.

Balint Pastor, leader of Serbia's Alliance of Vojvodina Hungarians (Savez vojvođanskih Mađara), announced the party will run independently in upcoming elections, focusing on maintaining a strong parliamentary presence rather than seeking ministerial posts. Pastor emphasized building trust with Hungary's new prime minister, Peter Magyar, and cooperation on infrastructure, education and minority rights.

Both parties stress cooperation with existing governments and aim to influence policy for their constituencies while preserving independent political identities.
