Croatian Photo Gallery Showcases Life in Međimurje from Early 2000s

The weekly column “U retrovizoru” presents a new collection of archival photographs from the Međimurje region, now available in a digital gallery on the Lista Međimurje website. The images capture everyday moments from the early 2000s, including schoolchildren at a bus stop, workers at a petrol station, local cultural groups, and humorous scenes such as Đura from Međimurje holding paint‑spattered tools and Roman Bogdan styled like Eminem. The feature also revisits past events such as the Days of Thanksgiving in Mala Subotica and folk‑culture gatherings, offering a visual record of the region’s recent history for both older residents and younger readers.

The gallery is part of Lista Međimurje’s effort to preserve and share regional heritage, with all issues from the first 1952 edition onward digitised for subscribers.
