Croatian PM Andrej Plenković Accused of Ignoring Parliamentary Questions on Željko Kerum

Parliamentary representative Damir Barbir of the Centre Party has charged Prime Minister Andrej Plenković with breaching Article 142 of the Rules of Procedure of the Croatian Parliament. Barbir submitted two written questions – one on 4 March 2026 concerning the handling of a concession in the Bay of Bene linked to businessman Željko Kerum, and a second on 12 May 2026 about alleged illegal construction and preferential treatment of a luxury resort associated with Kerum. Both questions remain unanswered beyond the 30‑day deadline, prompting Barbir to claim the silence is a political decision rather than a procedural lapse. He urges the government to initiate legal steps to terminate the concession and to order an extraordinary inspection of the alleged illegal works.
