Croatian PM Andrej Plenković assures electricity supply despite low river levels

Prime Minister Andrej Plenković told reporters in Bol, Brač that Croatia’s electricity supply is guaranteed and that the country will have enough power even as low water levels on the Danube have forced the shutdown of Hungary’s only nuclear plant. He said the situation at the Krško nuclear power plant, which supplies electricity to both Slovenia and Croatia, remains stable and under control.

Plenković added that the government is in contact with the economy minister and the head of HEP to monitor the situation, and he highlighted the strong performance of the tourism season so far. He also responded to remarks from the Most party, urging cooperation and noting that border security is the police’s responsibility.
