Croatian police conduct road safety education for children and parents

Police departments in Croatia are conducting targeted preventive activities to improve road safety for minors and their families. In Bilje, officers from the Beli Manastir station visited first-grade students at the Bilje Elementary School to reinforce traffic rules. The session focused on pedestrian safety, including the correct use of crosswalks, recognizing traffic signs and signals, and the dangers of crossing between parked vehicles where visibility is limited.

In Bjelovar-Bilogora County, police held an educational session for 24 expectant parents as part of a maternity course. The training emphasized the critical importance of using appropriate child safety seats from a newborn's very first trip from the hospital. Officers provided practical guidance on selecting seats based on a child's weight and height, proper installation techniques, and common errors that can compromise safety during transit.
